This fantastic and fun teaching tool offers unlimited teaching methods and excercies based on addition of numbers from 1 to 10. The Custom Adding Bees resource uses bee sounds and images. Move the bees to the honeycomb area but dont get too near the Bee's sting! Although this is for open use, both 'Well Done!' and 'Try Again' screens appear at the touch of a button. Other features include master volume control to mute or reduce sound during play.

Demonstration of addition of numbers between 1 and 10.

Teacher moves a number of bees to the honeycomb, pupils add the bees and give the answer.

Pupils can play in pairs, one sets the number of bees, the other counts.

Pupils are instructed to move so many bees to the left side of the honeycomb and so many to the left meaning that they count out and add the number of bees that they are moving.
